Sharpie Tie-DYE!

Sharpie Tie-DYE!

Tie-Dye is an awesome and fun craft, but it takes a lot of time and supplies. With this cool spin on Tie-Dye, everything is better!

Yeah, all you need are a couple rubber bands, SHARPIES!!!, rubbing alcohol, and a blank t-shirt, tank top, or canvas shoes. A pipette is optional, as are newspapers to cover so there isn’t a big mess! 🙂

Now start by bundling up your t-shirt/tank top. If you are doing your blank canvas shoes, you don’t need any rubber bands. Now color on the t-shirt/tank/shoes as desired in a pattern like in the video. The fabric does not need to be completely covered, nor should it be in a specific drawing. Remember, many of the colors will bleed into each other like a gradient! Now use a cup or the pipette to drop the alcohol onto the fabric. If you want the colors to bleed into each other more, use more alcohol, or if you want the design to mostly stay intact, use less. Simple! Enjoy your tie-dye!
